Club and Association Members

There are many reasons to join a fishing club!

  • Fishing clubs give fishers access to a fantastic group of people who love to talk about fishing as much as they do.
  • They give a sense of contributing to the local community.
  • Club membership provides an opportunity to participate in social and competitive events.
  • They give the ability to improve fishing by learning from more experienced fishers or to share your own knowledge.

Club membership also provides a means to contribute to the political landscape of fishing, and have your say on issues that affect you and your favourite fisheries.

VRFish Fishing Club Supporter Membership

All Victorian fishing clubs and associations are welcome to join VRFish as a Club Supporter member.

Fishing clubs enable our fishers to come together, learn, socialise and enjoy some friendly competition. What we also know is fishing clubs are a significant part of the community and our recreational fishing sector. Clubs are already accomplishing great things by advocating for better fishing access, providing advice on fish stocking, getting involved in habitat projects, running children’s fishing programs, contributing to citizen science and fundraising for worthy causes in their community. We want to play a role to support your fishing club to grow and be stronger.

The first step to make this happen is to become a club member of VRFish. We believe it’s our role as the peak body to have effective communication links and strong relationships with all fishing clubs in Victoria and their members.  We also recognise that fishing clubs form the backbone of many local and regional projects and generously give their time to make fishing better.
