Sandringham Harbour | Draft Local Port Area Plan

We’re encouraging recfishers to get involved in the current public consultation regarding the draft Sandringham Harbour local port area plan.

Through providing feedback on the plan, fishers are able to have their say on plans for a new Hampton pier to improve the safety and function of the pier. The plan proposes replacing the pier as the current one has reached the end of its design life.

The draft plan has a focus on ‘on water’ elements, including:

  • Defining a safer entrance channel
  • Berths and moorings
  • Identifying the needs of ‘off the beach’ users such as kayaks and stand-up paddle boards
  • Climate change, sedimentation and coastal processes

The final plan will be released later this year.

Complete the following survey on the Engage Victoria website to have your say on your needs for the upgraded pier and your thoughts on the proposed changes to improve the safety and functionality of the harbour.

Survey closes 10 June 2022.
