Revitalising Yan Yean Reservoir Park

Melbourne Water are investigating ways to create new recreation opportunities for the community at Yan Yean Reservoir.

Melbourne Water are currently consulting with the community regarding the use of Yan Yean Reservoir.

Currently, recreational fishing at Yan Yean Reservoir is not allowed. There is a productive redfin fishery in the reservoir, and if public access was supported, it could become a great fishery for metro recfishers to go fishing close to home.

The survey provides respondents with the opportunity to provide their ideas on additional features and activities that would make their experience at the reservoir more enjoyable. This is an opportunity for recreational fishers to suggest that they want to see public access to the waterway and recreational fishing permitted.

Consultation closes 15 May 2022.
