Lack of funding for maintenance and the required rebuild have put McLoughlin’s beach jetty at risk of being closed and demolished.
For many in the region, McLoughlin’s jetty is where they learnt to fish. Without the access provided by the jetty, many recfishers and their families will miss out on the opportunity to reel in their favourite fish.
The local community are rallying together to save the jetty and have started this petition to show Gippsland Ports and the Government Melissa Horne MP just how important this jetty is to the local community.
