Victorian Online Pipi Survey

Researchers from The University of Melbourne and Deakin University are investigating the knowledge gaps concerning pipi population demographics and stock connectivity along the Victorian coastline.

They’re asking recfishers, commercial fishers, Traditional Owners, natural resource managers and other interested groups to share their expert knowledge of Victorian pipis, ‘beach level’ locations and estimated density via an online survey. The findings from the survey will improve modelling of the pipi population connectivity and ultimately the management of the fishery.

Survey closes 1 July 2022.

The project is funded by FRDC.
