Have your say on proposed actions to destroy recreational fishing and boating in Greens Lake Corop

Proposed actions to destroy recreational fishing and boating in Greens Lake Corop.

Comment is sought on an inaction plan to manage the transition of Greens Lake to a natural wetting and drying cycle (just like the Lake Cooper dust bowl next door), while telling the 1000+ people camped there on Australia Day weekends to bugger off over to Waranga Basin where maybe 50 extra campsites will be allowed.

At least they’ll try and relocate the thousands of native fish (including Cod to 1.3m) recreational fishers have paid to be stocked but the plan doesn’t say if they’ll do it before the fish hit the top this summer.

Interested members of the community are encouraged to review the draft document and provide their feedback through Engage Victoria. Consultation closes on the 31st January 2022.
