Hume Regional Climate Change Adaptation Strategy

The Victorian Government is partnering with communities to address impacts resulting from the changing climate in the State’s North East.

Lower streamflows, rising water temperatures and catastrophic bushfires all impact our fishing experiences and can risk the viability of our freshwater fisheries for native fish and trout.

Climate Ready Hume is a two-year program developing a Hume Regional Climate Change Adaptation Strategy (Strategy), whilst supporting local projects, education and awareness on climate change adaptation.

Climate Ready Hume is sponsored by Supporting our Regions to Adapt, a $9.3 million program funded through the Sustainability Fund.

You can have your say how best to adapt and mitigate the impacts of climate change through an online survey on the Engage Victoria website. The survey closes 30 October 2020.
