VRFish Welcomes Ben Scullin

VRFish has welcomed Ben Scullin on board as our new Advocacy and Member Co-ordinator.

This brand-new role will see Ben focus on delivering further value to Victoria’s 838,000 recreational fishers and working alongside our stakeholders in delivering priority outcomes that make fishing better for all Victorians.

Ben will be a familiar face to many Victorian recreational fishers through his previous roles. He cut his ‘advocacy teeth’ with VRFish over a decade ago before moving on to the Boating Industry Association of Victoria where his ability to successfully advocate on issues of importance to recreational boaters and fishers has delivered substantial wins.

Whether it’s winning back access to local riverbanks or increasing investment in boat ramps, Ben is a spirited advocate for recreational fishing and is perfectly placed to lead the VRFish advocacy charge.

Ben likes to chase lure crunching predators in his spare time, including this Bundalong Golden Perch. In fact, Ben is an accomplished lure fisho and took out the 2019 Mulwala Cod Nationals.

Ben will be spearheading VRFish’s advocacy efforts and activating our supporters to effect change needed to make fishing better for all Victorians. He will be our ‘go-to’ person for all advocacy issues and a critical link between VRFish and our growing membership.

We’re encouraging all fishers to raise issues that matter to them directly with Ben via [email protected].
