Queenscliff Boating Facility Upgrade Community Consultation

The Queenscliff boating facility is getting an upgrade thanks to the State Government’s unprecedented investment in boating in Victoria.

Better Boating Victoria (BBV) is overseeing the delivery of the government’s boating commitments and the Queenscliff boating facility upgrade in close consultation with the Borough of Queenscliffe.

The upgrade will deliver a better launching experience, improved traffic flows and parking in addition to improved pedestrian safety.

Thomson Berrill Landscape Design have been engaged by BBV to develop concept plans for an improved facility at Queenscliff and BBV wants to hear what you have to say about the plans.

To facilitate this discussion, BBV, Maritime Safety Victoria and the Victorian Fisheries Authority will be hosting a community event about the project. So, if you want to see the draft plans and have your say in helping build a better boating facility then come along.

There will be a BBQ and refreshments available as well as interactive boating and fishing education and safety displays for all the family.

The feedback BBV receives from the community event will inform a final concept design that will be used as the basis for the future upgrade.

This project is part of the Government’s $47.2 million commitment to deliver urgent upgrades to six of the state’s busiest public boat ramps, remove parking and launching fees and review infrastructure management at Port Phillip and Western Port.

Event details:
Date: Saturday 30 November
Time: 10-12 noon
Location: Queenscliff boat ramp, 4 Bridge St, Queenscliff, VIC 3225
