Have Your Say on the Joint Management Plan for Barmah National Park

The Yorta Yorta Traditional Owner Land Management Board has released a Draft Joint Management Plan for the Barmah National Park for community consultation and comment. The plan sets out the proposed management directions for the National Park over the next 10 years.

VRFish is currently reviewing the plan to prepare a submission that addresses the interests of Victorian recreational fishers. We welcome your comments, concerns and feedback. Please drop us a line at [email protected] and we also encourage you to make your own submission

Open House Sessions

Open House community consultation sessions run by the Yorta Yorta Traditional Land Management Plan are starting next week. VRFish encourages recreational fishers interested in the area covered by the Draft Joint Management Plan to attend ‘open house’ sessions and review the plan:

  • Shepparton – 26 August: 4:30-7:30pm at Park Lake Hotel, 481 Wyndham Street
  • Barmah – 30 August: 2:30-5:30pm at Dharnya Centre, Sandridge Track
  • Echuca – 3 September: 4:30-7:30pm at Mercure Port of Echuca, 465 High St.
