EOI for Recreational Fishing Grants Working Group

The Victorian Fisheries Authority is seeking nominations from recreational fishers to play a critical role in deciding how our recreational fishing licence fees are re-invested back into our sector to make fishing even better.

Nominations are now open for members of the Recreational Fishing Grants Working Group, which will advises the Victorian Government on how best to spend fishing licence fees.

VRFish encourages Victorian recreational fishers with the required skills and experience to consider applying for this important role which will help to improve fishing for 838,oo0 of their peers.

So far our funds support a range of large and small projects that improve fishing opportunities, like stocking lakes and rivers, building fishing platforms, improving fish habitat and undertaking research. You can find out more about funded projects here.

The eight member working group will also include one person involved in the recreational fishing industry and one person nominated by VRFish.

Nominations close 30 November 2018.
