Werribee River Fishing Access Forum

It is an opportune time to plan for the future of the Werribee River, due to the growing population and the increased fishing opportunities thanks to the stocking of Estuary perch in the river by the Victorian Fisheries Authority. VRFish has had a long history of improving fishing access along the Werribee River with an ongoing desire to make fishing better, for everyone.

On Wednesday 15 August VRFish and the Werribee Angling Club will be hosting the Werribee River Fishing Access Forum to encourage local fishers to share their ideas on how to improve fishing in the river. Fishers will hear from speakers from a variety of organisations including VRFish, the Victorian Fisheries Authority, City of Wyndham, Parks Victoria and Melbourne Water. After the presentations, fishers will be part of an open discussion where you will be given the opportunity to share your needs and visions for the future, suggest fish habitat and riparian improvements and identify key priorities which will be introduced into plans for the future.
